I awoke with a jolt, cold sweat covering my body, causing me to shiver.

It had been that dream again. That memory that haunted my sleep. The memory of the day I was turned.

I shoved the blankets off of me and sat up, catching my reflection in the mirror. The red streaks in my black hair were dulling. I would have to get them touched up soon. Shaking my head I chuckled slightly. I thought vampires weren't supposed to have reflections.

But I digress.

I stumbled drowsily to my closet and pulled the doors open, peering at my cloths. I REALLY needed to go shopping, because everything I owned was from hottopic, a stupid store I used to shop at during my emo phase. I ended up reluctantly pulling on some skinny jeans that were checkered on the left leg and black on the right, with a red shirt that had some stupid line you would find on a girls profile on myspace. "I love walking in the rain because no one can see me cry." Or some pathetic, cry baby shit like that. After pulling on some dirty old black vans I sat on my bed and sighed, examining my room.

It was pitiful. Plain white walls with peeling paint, a shabby bed and some of my old MCR and BVB posters. Only now had I begun to wonder how on earth these freaks got ahold of my old stuff. Had they been watching me? Did that know that man had been targeting me this whole time?

Why hadn't they saved me then?

I caught myself again in the mirror and noticed my blue eyes watering up. I dried them quickly as my doorbell rang.

No point in crying over what was already done.

I recalled that that guy...the prince, as they called him, had told me some boy was going to be picking me up today. Explain to me what had happened last night, how to fit in as a newborn vampire, and how to follow the rules of the masquerade so I wouldn't force them to kill me. I think the boys name was Damien, or something.

I pushed myself from the bed and went downstairs, dragging my feet the whole time. This was not exciting. This was not cool, and any teenage girl who thinks it would be a FANTASTIC idea to become a vampire and find her Edward Cullen prince is a complete and utter fuckass.

I opened the door and groaned.

This boy had obviously been changed at the same age I had, but unlike me, he never grew out of his whiny emo stage. His hair was half black, half purple, and he had this huge ass, ugly looking lip ring with this dorky eyebrow piercing to match, and a chain connecting the two. Who the hell did that sort of thing? Wasn't he a vampire? Couldn't a hunter totally use that chain to take him down?

Were there even vampire hunters?

Oh god. The loser even wore this black shirt with the words "Just kill me" written in red caps.

Oh trust me buddy, I would if I was allowed to.

"You must be Sarah." He said, trying to make his voice sound husky and seductive, when in all honesty he sounded like a complete dumbass. "Ready to go?"

"As ready as I'll ever be." I replied, rolling my eyes. He held the door open for me and I walked out into the crisp air that came with the october air. This was going to be my first night in Seattle. I didn't know it might also have been my last.
All characters belong to XxHopelessFailurexX and the guys who made bloodlines: Vampire the masquerade.

This WAS going to be me just making fun of this shit, but then I started watching a walkthrough of the game while remaking Sarah's failed literature attempt...and this happened.

Very few of the characters belong to me. You'll know the ones who do when they show up because I'll let you know.

Enjoy.

I always love a good story that can not only build up and set it's own stage but degrade or poke fun at pop culture at the same time. This story does both and it sounds interesting. I'd love to hear more about this vampire female who apparently hates her new blood and is mentally tearing down the world around her.

The story itself is interesting but some words do get repetitive and overused and if I wanted to be strict I'd also like to point out a few spelling errors were made. Other then these small complaints this is a beautiful beginning and it builds the story of rather well.
